Terms
Terms of service
The agreement between you and us when you use aihops. It's long because it's complete, but we've written it plainly, and the summary below says what matters most.
Version 2, 27 October 2026. You agree to it when you create your account, and we'll ask again if it changes in a way that matters.
In short
- What you put in aihops stays yours. We use it only to run aihops for you, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI.
- You choose who sees each document. The people you share with need only an email address.
- AI only runs when someone asks. It can be wrong: you decide what to keep.
- Don't use aihops to break the law or hurt people. We can suspend accounts that do.
- Pro renews until you cancel, which you can do any time from your Account page.
- Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply, whatever else these terms say.
The summary helps you find your way; the sections below are the agreement.
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
- aihops is provided by Moir Holdings Pty Ltd, ABN 34 135 150 837, of Australia ("we", "us", "our"). "You" means the person using aihops, and, if you use it for an organisation, that organisation too.
- "aihops" means the app at app.aihops.com.au, the website at aihops.com.au, the aihops plugin and connector for Claude, the aihops connector for ChatGPT, the share@aihops.com.au email address, and any other way we offer to use them.
- These terms, our privacy policy and our security policy together are the whole agreement between you and us about aihops.
2. Agreeing to these terms
- You agree to these terms by ticking the box and choosing Agree and continue when you first sign in. We record the version you agreed to and when.
- If you don't agree, don't use aihops. You can delete the account that signing in created from your Account page, or ask us to.
- If you use aihops for an organisation, you confirm you're allowed to agree to these terms for it, and it is bound by them.
3. Who can use aihops
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You mustn't use aihops if we've closed an account of yours for breaking these terms, or if the law stops you using it.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send to it, or with Google. Keep that email account secure: whoever can read it can sign in as you.
- An account is for one person. Don't share it, and don't sign in as someone else.
- You're responsible for what's done with your account, including by an AI app you connect to it (section 10).
- Tell us straight away at security@aihops.com.au if you think someone else has used your account.
- The name you choose to be shown by must not be misleading or offensive, and mustn't pretend to be someone else.
5. Your content
- "Your content" is what you put in aihops: documents and their versions, comments, replies, suggested wording, private notes, personas, folder names and the like.
- It stays yours. You keep every right you have in it. We claim no ownership of it.
- You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, copy, convert, display and process your content only as needed to run aihops for you and the people you share it with: for example, turning a PDF or Word document into a page people can read, comparing versions, emailing people that a document is waiting, and sending it to our AI provider when someone asks for an AI review or a consolidation (section 9). This permission ends when your content is deleted and purged (section 14), except for what others are entitled to keep under section 6.
- You promise that you have the right to upload and share your content, and that doing so doesn't break the law, a confidentiality duty or anyone else's rights, such as copyright or privacy.
- We don't sell your content, we don't use it to advertise, and we don't use it, or let our providers use it, to train AI models.
- We don't look at your content except to run aihops, to keep it secure, to investigate a report of misuse, when you ask us to, or when the law requires.
- Keep your own copies. We work to keep your content safe, but aihops is not a backup service. Keep the original of anything that matters to you. Owners can export a document's comments and history at any time.
6. Sharing, collaborating and copies
- Nobody else sees a document until you share it. When you share it, the people you add see it, and what you write for everyone on it, under your name.
- The people you share with need only an email address. They'll get an email from us saying the document is waiting; you confirm they would reasonably expect to hear from you, and you mustn't use sharing to send unwanted messages.
- Share it (a simple share): each person gets their own copy to read and comment on, and only they see their own comments. Collaborate: one copy, everyone on it, and everyone sees the mark-up for everyone. Private notes and private groups are seen only by their author or group.
- Owners see when the people they share with open a document, and for how long it was open and in use. By opening a shared document, you agree to that.
- If an owner lets them, the people a document is shared with can make their own copy. A copy belongs to whoever made it and stays with them if the original is changed or deleted. Owners can stop people making new copies at any time, but not take back copies already made.
- What others write on your documents is their content, not yours. What you write on someone else's document stays yours, but its owners and the people on it can keep reading it while it's there.
7. Documents can contain code
- HTML documents can contain scripts. aihops runs every document walled off from the app and from your session, but a document can still show anything its author wrote, including links to other websites.
- Treat documents as you'd treat any web page from their author. Don't enter passwords or payment details into a document, and be careful with links in it. Report anything suspicious to abuse@aihops.com.au.
8. Using aihops fairly
Don't use aihops, or let anyone use your account, to:
- break any law, or help anyone else to;
- infringe anyone's rights, including copyright, trade marks, confidentiality and privacy;
- share material that sexually exploits children, promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or is otherwise illegal to possess or share;
- harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone, or share someone's personal information without a right to;
- deceive people: phishing pages, fake sign-in or payment pages, scams, impersonating a person or organisation, or AI-made content presented as real in order to mislead;
- share malware, or anything designed to harm devices, networks or data;
- send spam, or share with people who haven't agreed to hear from you;
- get into accounts, documents or systems that aren't yours, test or get around aihops's security or limits (except as our security policy allows), or overload aihops;
- reach aihops by automated means other than the connectors and features we provide, or scrape it;
- copy, resell, or reverse engineer aihops, except as the law lets you despite this term;
- build a competing product from aihops's features or content.
We may remove content, or suspend access, that breaks this section (section 15). To report misuse, write to abuse@aihops.com.au.
9. AI features
- aihops's own AI reviews and consolidations run only when someone asks for one. They use Anthropic's Claude, in the United States, which receives the text the feature needs, as our privacy policy describes.
- AI can be wrong. It can miss things, misread a document, or say something that sounds right and isn't. Its findings and proposals are suggestions, labelled as AI. Nothing changes in a document until someone chooses to change it.
- AI output is not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. You're responsible for checking it, and for what you decide to do with it.
- As between you and us, you may use the AI output you ask for as you like, but we can't promise nobody else has rights in it, or that similar output isn't given to others.
- Each AI review or consolidation you ask for is one AI use, from your plan's allowance (section 12). A run that fails is given back.
- AI findings appear under the name of the person who asked for them, marked as AI. If you ask for one on a shared document, everyone who can see the findings will see that you asked.
10. AI apps you connect
- You can connect Claude or ChatGPT to your aihops account. A connected app acts as you, within what you allowed when you connected it: reading only, or making changes too. What it does is recorded as you, marked as done through that app, and people on your documents see that.
- You're responsible for what a connected app does in aihops on your behalf, including acting on instructions it found in a document or comment. Connected apps can't delete anything, change roles or billing, or do anything else we keep to the browser.
- The app's own maker (Anthropic or OpenAI) and its terms govern your use of that app, and what it does with what it reads from aihops. We're not responsible for those apps.
- You can disconnect an app at any time from your Account page.
11. Sending documents by email
- You can email documents to share@aihops.com.au from the address you sign in with. We take a message only if your email provider confirms it came from you, and the documents land in your account, shared with nobody.
- The terms in this agreement apply to documents you send by email as to any you upload.
12. Plans, payment and AI uses
- Free: documents, sharing and collaborating, with 5 AI uses in all.
- Pro: A$20 a month, or A$200 a year, with 40 AI uses each month, counted from your plan's own day. Unused uses don't carry over.
- Top-up: A$10 for 20 more AI uses, on any plan, kept for 12 months from purchase. Top-ups aren't refundable once used, and expire after 12 months.
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST if any applies. We're not registered for GST, so none is charged at present.
- Stripe takes payment for us; we never see or store your card. You authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your card for the plan you choose, and for each renewal.
- Renewal: Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. We'll remind you by email before a yearly plan renews.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time from your Account page. Pro then runs to the end of the period you've paid for, and isn't refunded for part of a period, except as the Australian Consumer Law requires or as section 22 says.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and AI keeps working meanwhile. If it can't take payment, Pro ends and you're back on any free uses you had left.
- Price changes: we'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. It starts from your next renewal after that, and you can cancel before then.
- We may offer features or plans free for a time and later charge for them, but never without telling you first and giving you the chance to decline.
13. Limits
To keep aihops working for everyone, it has limits: on file size (20 MB), how many uploads, shares, comments and AI requests you can make in a minute or an hour, and how often a connected app can call it. They're described in aihops and in our help pages, and we may change them to protect the service.
14. Deleting documents and your account
- An owner can delete a document at any time. It disappears for everyone straight away. Its owners can see its history for 30 days; then we purge it for good, with its files, comments and history. Copies others made of it stay theirs (section 6).
- You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. That deletes the documents you alone own, takes you off other people's, deletes your private notes and comments, and takes your name off what stays, as our privacy policy describes. It ends a paid plan straight away, without a refund for the rest of the period, and ends your connected apps.
- Deleted content can't be brought back, except that our storage keeps a purged file recoverable for 14 days in case of a mistake.
15. Suspension and ending
- We may remove content, suspend your account, or close it, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you don't pay, if the law requires it, or if it's needed to protect people or aihops.
- Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first, say why, and give you a chance to put things right. We won't when the law stops us, or when acting at once is needed to prevent harm.
- If we close your account without you having broken these terms, we'll refund any part of a paid period you haven't used.
- Sections 5.3, 6.5, 6.6, 9.3, 18, 19, 20 and 23, and anything else meant to last, continue after this agreement ends.
16. The service
- We work to keep aihops available, fast and secure, but we can't promise it will always be available, or free of faults or delays. We may take it down for maintenance, and will try to do so at quiet times.
- We may improve aihops, add features, and change or remove features. If we remove a feature you pay for, or stop offering aihops, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any part of a paid period you can't use.
- Some features may be marked as new or in preview. They may change, or be taken away, more readily than others.
17. Other services we use
aihops relies on others: Microsoft (hosting in Australia, sign-in and sign-in codes), Anthropic (AI), Twilio SendGrid (email), Stripe (payments), and Google if you sign in with it. Our privacy policy says what each receives. We choose them carefully, but we aren't responsible for their services beyond what the law makes us.
18. What's ours
- aihops itself, its software, design, name and logo, are ours or our licensors'. These terms give you the right to use aihops as they allow, and nothing more.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you or naming you.
19. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
- Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights, or any other right you have by law that can't be excluded.
- Where the law lets us, and the services aren't of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for failing to meet a guarantee is limited to supplying the services again, or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
20. Liability
- Subject to section 19, and as far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity, however it arises.
- Subject to section 19, and as far as the law allows, our total liability to you for everything about aihops is limited to the greater of A$100 and what you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.
- Our liability is reduced to the extent your loss was caused by you: for example, by content you uploaded, by not keeping your own copies, or by what a connected app did on your behalf.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
21. If you use aihops for a business
If you use aihops for a business or organisation, it compensates us for reasonable losses and costs we incur because of a claim by someone else that its content, or its use of aihops, broke the law or these terms, except to the extent we caused or contributed to it.
22. Changes to these terms
- We may change these terms: for example, when we add features, or the law changes. We'll publish the new version here, with its date and version number.
- For a change that matters to you, we'll tell you by email or in aihops at least 30 days before it applies, and ask you to agree to it next time you sign in. If you don't agree, you can close your account before the change applies, and we'll refund any part of a paid period you haven't used.
- Changes that don't reduce your rights, such as fixing a typo or describing a new feature, may apply once published.
23. Disputes, and the law that applies
- If you have a complaint, write to hello@aihops.com.au first. A person will look into anything legal, and we'll try in good faith to resolve it with you within 30 days. That doesn't stop either of us seeking urgent relief from a court, or you contacting a consumer protection agency.
- These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. The courts of Victoria, and courts that can hear appeals from them, may hear any dispute about them. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protection the law where you live gives you.
24. General
- We may send you notices by email to your sign-in address, or in aihops. You can send us notices at hello@aihops.com.au.
- If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies, and that part applies as far as it can.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You can't transfer this agreement to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer it to whoever takes over aihops, if they keep these terms for you, and we'll tell you.
- We aren't responsible for failing to do something because of events beyond our reasonable control, such as a failure of the internet or of a provider, but we'll do what we reasonably can to limit the effect.
25. Contact
Moir Holdings Pty Ltd, ABN 34 135 150 837. Write to hello@aihops.com.au. An AI agent replies, and says it's an agent; anything legal reaches a person.
