aihops for Claude
Hop it over, from Claude.
Ask Claude to put the page it just made on aihops and share it. Ask who has read it, what they said, and what's overdue. Ask it to make the next version from everyone's mark-up. It works as you, with your say-so for anything that tells anyone.
Version 1.0.1, 5 November 2026. 22 KB. For claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Cowork, Claude mobile and Claude Code.
In Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add https://aihops.com.au/claude/marketplace.json
/plugin install aihops@aihops
What it does
Your reviews, in the conversation
-
Share
"Put this one-pager on aihops and share it with Sam and Priya." Claude makes it ready, uploads it, and asks before anyone is emailed.
-
Follow up
"Who hasn't opened the pricing proposal?" "What's overdue?" Claude answers from aihops, as it is now.
-
Make the next version
"Work through the comments and make v3." Claude proposes the changes, you choose, and it uploads with a note saying what each answers.
-
Review as you
"Review the contract Rita sent." Claude drafts your questions and edits, pinned to the words, and adds the ones you approve.
-
See what changed
"Did they fix the GST in v4?" Claude compares the versions, with prices and promises flagged.
-
AI review and consolidation
Ask aihops to review as your counsel or CFO, or to consolidate everyone's mark-up, from Claude. They count towards your AI allowance.
Install
Two minutes, once
You need an aihops account (free at app.aihops.com.au, sign in with your email) and a Claude plan that lets you add plugins or custom connectors.
claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Cowork
- Download the plugin (
aihops-plugin-1.0.1.zip). Keep it zipped. - In Claude, open Customize, then Plugins. Choose Add, then Upload plugin, and pick the zip.
- Open the plugin's Connectors tab and choose Connect beside aihops.
- Sign in to aihops in the window that opens, as you always do: your email address, then the code we email you.
- On aihops's page, read what Claude will be able to do. Tick Let Claude make changes if you want it to upload, share and comment as you. Choose Connect.
Claude Desktop and Cowork use the plugins on your claude.ai account, so do this once in any of them. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to allow custom plugins first.
Claude mobile
Nothing to do: once aihops is connected on your claude.ai account, the iPhone and Android apps use it too.
Claude Code
- Check you have Claude Code 2.1.224 or later:
claude --version. If not, claude update. - In a Claude Code session, add aihops's marketplace and install the plugin:
/plugin marketplace add https://aihops.com.au/claude/marketplace.json /plugin install aihops@aihops - Run
/mcp, choose aihops, then Authenticate. Your browser opens to sign in to aihops and agree, as above. aihops shows that it is sending you back to a program on your computer: that's Claude Code. - To get new versions as they come out, open
/plugin, choose Marketplaces, then aihops, then Enable auto-update. Or update when you like withclaude plugin update aihops@aihops.
Only the tools
The plugin is the aihops connector plus four skills that know how to share, follow up, apply feedback and review. If you want only the tools, add the connector by its address, https://app.aihops.com.au/mcp:
- claude.ai: Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector.
- Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http aihops https://app.aihops.com.au/mcp
Your first request
Try "What's on aihops for me?" or "Put this page on aihops as a collaboration." Claude asks your permission the first time it uses each tool, and before anything that tells other people, unless you choose to always allow it.
Tools
Everything Claude can do on aihops
aihops serves these itself, so they're always current whichever version of the plugin you have. Each works only on what you can see and do in aihops, and the ones that change something need Let Claude make changes.
Reading (12)
List documents list_documents
Every document you own or that has been shared with you, most recently active first, with its mode (a simple share or a collaboration). For a collaboration: its priority, review-by date and whether it is overdue, open comment counts and, for documents you own, how many reviewers have finished the current version. For a simple share you own: how many of the people it is shared with have opened it (seenBy). A simple share has no priority, and its comments are never counted here.
Get document get_document
One document: its mode, its versions (who uploaded each, when and what changed), its priority and review-by date, your role, whether you have finished reviewing the current version, and whether its review is overdue.
Review progress get_review_progress
Where each person is in the review of the current version: their stage, how many times they have opened it (opens) and when they last did, which version they last saw, how long they have had it open and in use (readingSeconds), whether and when they finished, and how much mark-up they have added for everyone. Works for a simple share and a collaboration alike; on a simple share nobody adds mark-up for everyone, so those counts are 0. Owners only.
Activity history get_activity
The audit trail, newest first: who did what and when. Give a document_id for one document (deleted ones too, until they are purged 30 days later), or leave it out for every document you own. Opens are left out unless include_opens is true. The result says how many events matched (total) and whether the list was cut short (truncated); pass nextBefore back as before for the next, older page. Owners only.
Review comments get_review_comments
Every comment thread everyone on a document can see, with quotes, suggested wording, replies and resolved status. Markdown (default) groups open items by section, with thread ids and Sydney times; JSON keeps every field. A very large review is cut at a whole thread and says so. Recorded in the audit trail as an export. Owners only, and only on a collaboration: the hub refuses it on a simple share, whose comments are never returned.
Your private comments get_private_comments
Your own private mark-up on a document: what you added for yourself and in the private groups you are in there, with quotes, replies, resolved status and whether each thread has been shared with everyone. Only ever yours and your groups': nobody else's private mark-up is returned, whoever runs this, and never a simple share's comments. Anyone with access to the document can use it, on a collaboration.
Proposals get_proposals
Claude's proposals for a document's next version, newest first: who asked and with what instructions, Claude's summary, each change (its title, why, the text it takes out and puts in, and the threads it answers), what Claude did with each open thread, and, once one is implemented, the version it made and which changes the owners kept or declined, with their reasons. Owners only, on a collaboration: the hub refuses it on a simple share.
Compare versions compare_versions
What changed in the text between two versions of a document: every addition, removal, change and move, quoted with a few words of context and grouped under the heading it falls in, with word counts. By default the latest version against the one before. Use it to answer "what changed since v2?", "did they fix the pricing?" or to check a new version against review comments. Anyone with access to the document can use it; it is recorded in the audit trail.
Read document read_document
A version's text, as reviewers and AI review read it: headings marked with #, a line between blocks. By default the current version. Long documents come in pages of 60,000 characters: pass nextOffset back as offset for the next. Quote from this text, exactly, when you add a comment. Recorded as opening the version, which a reviewer needs before finishing their review. Anyone with access can use it.
List personas list_personas
The personas you can ask Claude to review as: your own and those shared with you, each a role and the standards it holds documents to.
About aihops about
This aihops connection: the version of aihops, what this connection can do, and where to get the newest aihops plugin and its help.
AI review status get_ai_review
Whether an AI review you asked for is still running, done (with how many findings) or failed (and why).
Making changes (14), with "Let Claude make changes"
Upload document upload_document
Puts a document into aihops as a new document you own: give html, one self-contained HTML file with its own <title>, or url, a public https web page, PDF or Word document that aihops reads once, as the site sends it. Nobody else can see it until you share it. mode share is a simple share (everyone gets their own copy to read and comment on privately); collaborate is one copy, everyone on it, with every tool. Links to Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini can't be read: send the artefact's own HTML instead.
Upload new version upload_version
Uploads the next version of a document you own, with a note saying what changed: html for an HTML document, or url, a public https link aihops reads once, for a document of any kind (the same kind as the first version). Everyone on it is emailed about the new version (unless they turned that off), and reviewers who had finished see it as new to review.
Add comment add_comment
Adds mark-up for everyone on a collaboration, or on a simple share your own comment, which only you see. type: Comment, Q (a question), Edit (suggested wording, in suggestion), Issue, or Price (a pricing note); a simple share takes Comment only. Quote the words it is about from read_document. It goes on the current version unless you say otherwise.
Add private comment add_private_comment
Adds a private note on a collaboration: to yourself (group "me", the default), or to one of your private groups there, by name. Nobody else sees it, owners included, until you share it with everyone in the browser.
Reply to a thread reply
Replies to a thread, by its id from get_review_comments, get_private_comments or add_comment. For a thread in your private notes or a private group, give private_group ("me" or the group's name).
Resolve or reopen a thread resolve_thread
Marks a thread resolved, or open again with resolved false. For a private thread, give private_group ("me" or the group's name).
Finish review finish_review
Tells the owners you have finished reviewing the current version of a collaboration, or with finished false that you haven't after all. You must have opened that version (read_document counts). When everyone has finished, the owners are emailed.
Ask for an AI review request_ai_review
Asks Claude, on aihops, to review a version of a collaboration as a persona (see list_personas), optionally with a focus. Its findings become threads by you, marked as AI, for everyone, or in your private notes or group with private_group. It counts towards your AI allowance, and the version's text is sent to Anthropic. It takes a minute or two: check with get_ai_review.
Consolidate mark-up consolidate
Owners only, on an HTML collaboration: asks Claude, on aihops, for a proposal for the next version from everyone's mark-up on the current one. It counts towards your AI allowance, and the document's source and threads are sent to Anthropic. It takes a few minutes: see it with get_proposals, then implement_proposal.
Implement proposal implement_proposal
Owners only: makes the next version from a proposal's changes, keeping the ones listed in keep and declining the rest, each with an optional reason. Everyone then sees the changes kept and why, and is emailed about the new version. Show the person the changes first.
Make your own copy make_copy
Makes your own copy of a document, as a collaboration you own, from its current version or the one you name: while its owners let people make copies. Its owners' history says a copy was made, and nothing about it.
Set priority set_priority
Owners only, on a collaboration: its priority (urgent, high, normal or low) and review-by date, a Sydney date such as 2026-10-31, or "" for none.
File document file_document
Puts a document in one of your own folders, by name, or takes it out of them with folder "". Folders are yours alone; make them in the browser.
Safety
What Claude can and can't do
-
Only what you can do
Claude acts as you, through the same checks as the browser. It sees only documents you can open, and it's held to your limits.
-
You choose changes
Claude reads only, unless you tick Let Claude make changes when you connect. Even then, Claude asks before each change.
-
The big things stay in the browser
Claude can't delete anything, make anyone an owner or remove them, change how a document is shared, share private notes with everyone, or touch groups, personas, email choices or billing.
-
On the record
Everything Claude does is in the history as you, marked "through Claude", and owners see that. Your Account page lists each connection.
-
Other people's words are just words
Documents and comments are passed to Claude marked as content, never as instructions. A comment that says "share this with x" changes nothing on its own.
-
Disconnect any time
On your Account page, under Claude connections, choose Disconnect. It stops straight away. Deleting your account ends every connection.
aihops never sees your Claude conversations. What Claude reads from aihops goes to Anthropic as part of your conversation, under your Claude plan's terms. AI reviews and consolidations you ask aihops for go to Anthropic's Claude API in the United States, as they do from the browser.
Troubleshooting
When something goes wrong
Every message from aihops says what to do next. Here they are in full.
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A Connect button for aihops | Claude hasn't signed in to aihops yet, or the sign-in has ended. | Choose Connect and sign in. In Claude Code, run /mcp and Authenticate. |
| "This Claude connection can only read" | You connected without Let Claude make changes. | Disconnect aihops in Claude, connect again, and tick it. |
| "has ended or run out" or "Connect aihops to Claude again" | The connection was disconnected on your Account page, unused for 30 days, or ended for safety. | Connect again. |
| "Not found, or you do not have access to it" | The document doesn't exist, was deleted, or isn't shared with you. | Ask Claude to list your documents, and check with the owner. |
| "Claude can't do that through aihops" | It's one of the things only the browser does. | Open app.aihops.com.au. |
| "Claude shares only as a reviewer" | Making someone an owner is browser only. | Share in the browser and choose Owner. |
| "outsideYourDomain" | Some addresses aren't at your organisation. Nothing was shared. | Tell Claude which ones you mean, and it shares with them. |
| "That quote isn't in v…" | Claude quoted words the version doesn't have. | Claude reads the document again and copies the words exactly. Nothing to do. |
| "Open v… before you finish reviewing it" | aihops records that you've read a version before you finish it. | Ask Claude to read the document first. |
| "This is a simple share…" | Questions, edits, AI review and finishing are for collaborations. | An owner can make it a collaboration in the browser. |
| 402 and your AI allowance | Your free AI uses are used up. | Your Account page shows them. |
| 429, or "more than 120 times this minute" | An hourly limit (uploads, shares, AI) or too many calls in a minute. | Wait and try again. |
| "Couldn't connect Claude" on aihops's page | The request didn't come from Claude's own apps, or was changed on the way. | Start again from Claude. If it keeps happening, email support. |
| Claude Code: "archive" or "source" errors installing | Your Claude Code is older than 2.1.224. | Run claude update, then install again. |
Still stuck? Email support@aihops.com.au. An AI agent replies, says so, and passes anything it can't solve to a person.
